This item contains everything you need to make 1,000 1 inch badges (25.4 mm) in our Model 100 Button Machine.

The shells and collets are made from heavy duty US steel. The lockpins are copper plated. The mylar is 3 mil plastic that protects your graphics and gives the buttons a professional glossy finish. These complete one inch button sets work in American manufactured equipment and all of the 1 inch equipment on this site. They are not compatible with 25mm or metric size machines. This item is usually packed in a 6x6x6 size box and weighs 5lbs.

Description: Stock up! This product includes all the metal and plastic bits (shells, collets, lockpins, and mylar) that you need to make a thousand buttons. The only thing missing is the art - which you provide!
Production: Time: If you're punching out graphics one at a time with a graphic punch it takes about an hour to make 100 buttons. 30 minutes to print and cut circles, 15 minutes to press the buttons, and another 15 minutes to insert the pin-backs. Unlike any most other sizes, the pin-back is inserted by hand after the button itself is pressed. This does add time to production. But you can speed up production by punching more than one graphic at time, using a faster printer, etc.
Tools: Making buttons includes designing, printing, cutting out circles, pressing buttons, and inserting pin-backs. So you'll need to have a computer with a graphics program, or some way to make button designs, a printer laser or inkjet will do, a circle cutter, and of course the Button Making machine.
Paper: The Model 100 can accommodate paper up to 5 mil in thickness. That includes standard office or laser paper, as well as many papers called "Photo Quality Inkjet" or something similar.
Parts: One inch button parts include mylar, shells, collets, & pin-backs.
