This item is for 1,000 mylar only for 1-1/4 inch buttons. The actual diameter is 1.629 inches. It is made for use in US Standard size button makers.
You can also purchase this item as part of a complete set. The Bits-N-Pieces section is intended for those who might have lost some pieces or are doing a special project.
Q:
These mylars are not crimping properly, I'm using an American Button Machines 1.25" button maker, with their button shells, your mylars are the same size, and I'm cutting my design to 1.629", I also reduced the design to 1.6" just to make sure the mylar would fit between the button pieces, they're still coming undone? Is there anything I am doing wrong?

What is the weight of the paper you’re using? Does the problem persist of you switching to plain white office paper? I would recommend trying plain white 28lb office paper cut to the correct size for troubleshooting purposes. Like us, American Button Machines is a Tecre distributor. So if you have a combination of our parts and their parts, they should be compatible. It either the paper you’re using or an issue with your machine.

To add to your response regarding the crimping. I'm using 20lb regular copy paper, I'm pretty sure that is what I remember ABM recommending. My original paper cut was at 1.629". It's the weight of the paper that important?

If the problem persists using 20lb office paper with no print, try wiping out the upper die with silicone based machine lubricant.

I can’t post links here but if you check the Becky Buttons YouTube channel for a video titled “Button Maker Troubleshooting - Mylar not sealed all the way around” you’ll find a whole video discussing the things that cause this.

It's 1.629 inches in diameter or 41.377 mm. This is made for use in US Standard size button machines, not metric sized machines.
