Q:Hello, with this machine can I also make the magnets? I see you have 2-1/4” magnets sets that has the magnet and backing to create it like the buttons and before I purchase this kit I would like to make sure I can do magnets as well. And if there are other items I can create please let me know. Thank you so much

Q:Hey there. Question about the Tecre 2 1/4" all in one kit for $489...I noticed it comes with 500 button making supplies. Could that be swapped out for 500 magnet making supplies instead? If so, how much more would that add to the price? Thanks.

Q:What does the lifetime warranty cover? What is the process when repairs are needed?
Asked by: Shawna
- 8/8/2025
A: The lifetime warranty covers normal wear and tear. It does not cover abuse or neglect. Though we can usually fix whatever problems happen, we may charge for replacement parts if the machine was misused. To have your machine serviced, please email a description of issue along with any photos or videos, and your original purchase order number. If we can't resolve your issue remotely, we will send you a return label to have the machine serviced.

Q:I have an all-one-machine, 2 1/4". The press isn't crimping like it should. The punch works fine. I also have both products as stand-alones. The press is fine, a bit creaky but works okay. The punch no longer works right. I attempted to contact Tecre but never got a response. The individual products were purchased many years ago from www.buybuttonparts.com. They have since gone out of business, around Covid time. I use this machine pretty frequently and am asking for some help! I understand there is a lifetime warranty.

A: Hello! I would be happy to take a look at your machine. Since you got it from another distributor, you will have to cover inbound and outbound shipping, plus the cost of repairs. I cannot give you an estimate on repairs until I get the equipment in my hands though. You can mail me equipment at: ATTN REPAIRS 7726 Michigan Ave, Saint Louis MO 63111. Make sure to include your return address, phone and email inside the box. I will send you a repair estimate once I get it back.

Q:I have an order from American button machines for a 2.25 machine. They have just informed me of an 8-12 week back order. Your machines look of similar quality - are they available now or are you having similar issues? Thanks!
Asked by: Andrea
- 6/19/2023
A: Hello. Both Brick City Button Makers and American Button Machines are Tecre distributors. Our equipment and supplies are the same. At the time of this writing, the Model 225 button makers are available to ship but the punches are on a 2 week lead. You'll also receive your backs with the pins separate. You will have to assemble your own backs. The 8 week lead time has to do with pinning the backs.

We're looking to purchase the button maker kit, and I wanted to check to see if you are willing to accept a Purchase Order. Typically, we will pay a deposit and then release full payment once the item is received. We also are a tax-exempt organization, so we'd want to ensure that you have our information on file. Thank you!

Q:Hi,
Ready to make a purchase for this machine but I wanted to make sure that it works well with dye-sublimation printing (read: thicker paper than regular inkjet/laser printers).
There's some discussion in the FAQ about the difference between standard and photo machines, but I don't know how that distinction translates to the differences between your two main products (the promaker vs. multimaker)
And also, what size buttons do you recommend for photobooth purposes and why?
Thanks in advance!
Asked by: Carlos
- 2/3/2020
A: Hello - these machine do not work great with very thick paper, such as those from an event printer. If you *need* to make 2.25 inch buttons with dye-sub or photo paper, you will want to also purchase the c2225 Photo Punch. What this does is cuts a graphic to exactly 2.25 inches. The paper will not wrap around the button. It is held in place by the mylar. You will see a little bit of the button shell on the perimeter of each finished button. We do have ProMakers specifically for photo paper, but they only come in 3 inch and 3.5 inch sizes. The MultiMakers are not recommended for this purpose at all.
