Q:We got the 1000 parts a few months ago, but are having over 50% failure rate. The badges are deforming and causing mylar blowouts too. We use the Model 125, 1-1/4"

A: I’m sorry to hear of the problem you encountered. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to get through an order! It might be an issue with the machine itself. If you bought it from us just email me at [email protected] with your order number and I will send you a label for servicing. Even if you didn’t buy your machine here, we can still help. Can you email me a photo of the failed buttons. Also the weight of the paper you’re using, printer type, and if possible a video showing the making of a button from the side of the machine. Also please check to make sure there isn’t a shell stuck in the upper die as well.

Q:If I were to order an item today namely buttons what is the earliest date I will receive them
Asked by: Yvonne

A: We process orders in 2-3 business days. Shipping in the continental US can be up to 4 business days depending on your location for packages over 1lb. Packages under 1 lb ship postal and can take longer in transit.
You can select expedited shipping services and enter an in-hand deadline in the notes at checkout. However if you need something shipped the same day it is best to call.

Q:I am with a volumteer group and I make the buttons for other volunteers. Tody I noticed that a new bag of pin backs. have more space between the inside of the metal top and the plastic back of the pin. this makes using the pin more challenging than usual. Is this because of the make of the plastic backing? Can I get a better pin backing?

A: It sounds like you have a metric machine. You can try our 32mm supplies, but the 1.25inch US made supplies you are asking about have the wrong size mylar for metric machines. The US made mylar is a bit too small to work in metric machines.
To get your metric machine to work better you can try to adjust the height of your die with the hex bolt that holds it on to the base. But we don't service those machines so we have limited experience with the problem you described.
Good Luck!

Q:Hello. I am looking to build my own buttons and just buy the supplies to use with a button maker I have. Would I select the "unpinned" or not? In the past I just ordered enough parts for 500. Thank you!

A: At the time of this writing 9/29/2023, we have pinned backs available to ship in quantities fewer than 1000. At present time there is a substantial lead time for pinning on most quantities. To avoid this wait, we have given the option to recieve your backs unpinned. This just means that you will have to insert the pins into the backs yourself. But again, if you are ordering 500 pinned today, they will ship without a delay.

Q:I am looking to purchase more supplies for my 1 1/4 button maker. I only need the fron part (not the part with the pin). Is it possible to buy this way or do I need to purchase the front, back, and mylar? Thanks!

Q:Is the quantity 500 to make 500 buttons or is it 500 pieces to make about 166 buttons?

A: 500 Button Supplies includes 500 of each component so you can make 500 buttons. We haven't been in business for 20+ years pulling some shenanigans with our product listing. We are straight shooters.
